# What is Ring Protocol

Ring Protocol is a full set of decentralized finance products to enable the next generation of decentralized finance. It is an effort of research and development for the past three years.

Our vision is to build an universal liquidity protocol for maximizing asset utilization. There are billions of idle assets are parked on-chain, while thousands of crypto projects lack liquidity. Ring Protocol is launching a series of products to reshape the DEFI landscape.
